Statement of Intent

The Gloucestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers Ltd is registered with the Office of the Information Commissioner according to the Data Protection Act 1998 to process personal data relating to its trainees in order to carry out its normal administration. This data, which may relate to ethnicity and disability, is stored and processed for various administrative, academic and health and safety reasons, and it may be used by GITEP for its own marketing purposes.

The data collected is processed in accordance with the Act and will only be available within GITEP to members of staff who need to know in order to perform their duties. No personal data will be passed to any third party without the consent of the person concerned, unless GITEP is required to do so by the provisions stipulated under the Data Protection Act 1998 or an appropriate authority acting under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
